Subversive, hinted rumours question absolute truths.

This exhibition aims to reveal unseen meanings in five works by five artists: Stephen Dean, Adrian Paci, Jordi Colomer, Ignacio Uriarte and Mustafa Hulusi.

Drawing on archive research into the history of these videos and video installations, curator Suset Sánchez (Havana, 1977) examines the discourses surrounding these works of art: how they were made, how they became part of the "la Caixa" Collection of Contemporary Art and how they have been displayed. She carries out deconstruction and decolonising work to challenge the art system's established ideas on these pieces.

Rumour… is the second of three shows in the cycle Comisart – New Perspectives on the "la Caixa" Collection, which aims to provide professional opportunities for Spanish curators and offer fresh perspectives on its contemporary art collections.
