Pello Irazu eludes the limits of traditional artistic categories by combining in this work a mural painting with a three-dimensional object. For some time now Irazu has been steering his work towards unique, heterogeneous and hybrid areas. Acrobat swings between abstraction and representation, sculpture and painting, illusionism and reality. The illusionism of the drawing seems to fracture the wall, while the specificity of the sculpture seals it. Our world is full of images of breakages and explosions, but Irazu turns this into a strange image, thereby offering spectators the possibility of creating their own story.
