The artwork is very delicate, a sinuous gesture materialising as a gentle incision that draws topographical lines across the space of the canvas. The seamless emptiness of the painting is cut short by an indistinct figure at the bottom of the canvas, the shape of which recalls a head, a brain or a skull. The lightness of the painting is interesting to note, how it manages to move away from bombast and plastic artifice without resorting to cold and purely technical Minimalism.
